fruit fly trap

I don't know if it is this area or not, but there are a TON of fruit flys. I googled how to get rid of them with out bombing the house.

Turns out all you need is apple cider vinegar and dish soap (cut the surface tension)

Nate and I bet how many we would get the first night. I said 5 and he said 2 or something.
I counted...5! I win!

Then a few days later this is what it looked like. Gross, I know.

Just the Kids...plus Rick

Labor Day weekend was spent at the lake. Ahh, one last boat outing for us. Here are some pics to prove how much fun we are. No captions are necessary :)

Pumpkin Carving

We had a few friends over for some Halloween fun! Taco soup, hot cider, Carmel popcorn, and wine ;)

Nate had a buddy wanting to help carve his "fire face" while I (of course) picked an intricate design! Next year I'm just doing a triangle face :)

Night exercise

My mom sends me "care packages" when she gets sweet state farm goodies. In one of my packages was 100ish mint chocolates and light collars for our doggies.

Here they are in action at 7:00pm. (it's not supposed to be dark yet!)
We let them run wild and the lights helped us keep an eye in them.

Just finished a drawing for my co-worker. It's been a while since I got my pencils out. I am pleased with it!

( I just got blogger on my phone so I can post with my cellphone photos! Hence the crappy lighting. I'll have to take photos of it with my other camera. It looks so good in person!)

A night on the town

One of our friends just got a new job. There was a party for him downtown and we decided to make it down early for a relaxing dinner, just the two of us!

We had some time to kill after dinner before the party so we walked down to Pike's. I got the great idea to take a photo! We haven't taken a photo in front of one of the most popular Seattle backgrounds either. 3 years later here is our Seattle photo. Unfortunately from my phone; poor quality, but still a sweet memory!

Friday- Golf Scramble (we took 2nd!) and Rehearsal Dinner

I was so excited my camera worked to document!
